I feel sure that all Fellows will welcome the new Journal, which will be published on a scheduled date at intervals of two months from January 1971. The last year has seen a great deal of activity to bring the Q,J. up-to-date and by the end of January 1971 ten parts (Nos. 495 to 504), that is two-and-a-half years supply, will have been despatched to Fellows within twelve months. I am grateful to our printers, The Universities Press, Belfast, for their kindly and patient assistance in making this possible.
Publication of the Proceedings as a separate periodical has been discontinued. In future the activities of the Society will be reported briefly in proceedings format at the end of each Journal. More ephemeral information will be included in the circular. Short papers, which have been a valued, although expensive, part of the former Proceedings, can take their rightful place in the Journal now that regular and more frequent publication is assured.
