Abstract
The description of the Rattray Volcanic Province presented by Quirie et al. (2020) represents a very valuable synthesis of this suite of rocks particularly in terms of hydrocarbon exploration and production. Interestingly, the authors report the presence of nepheline in intrusive rocks, described as minor intrusions (up to 50m thick) that have undergone extensive alteration.
